Flagstone: Large stone slabs which are placed consecutively, creating a nice flat surface for you to walk on. Flagstone is preferred because of it's unique shapes and patterns compared to other options, and if one slab breaks, you only have to replace one stone instead of a whole section.

Concrete: A safe option, concrete is the standard for sidewalks. It's poured in directly and creates a rigid, fixed path for you to walk around.

Breeze: Decomposed granite, one of the most affordable options for walkways as it does not have to be poured in or specially compacted and installed, but it can get blown away by wind and may not be ideal for walking on without shoes.

Pavers:
One of the most durable but costly options, pavers create a unique pattern for the walkway and if a part of it cracks, it can be easily replaced.

What Walkway is best for me?

It mostly depends on personal preference and looks. For example, if you want something that you'd like to walk barefoot on, then flagstone might be best since it isn't fine like breeze but also still has some roughness on its surface for grip. On the other hand, if you want something basic and reliable, then concrete might be your choice.

Can walkways be built into uneven ground?

Yes, walkways can be built even in uneven ground. Different options might be better suited for different elevations, but we will advise you on our personal recommendation if you get in contact with us. If your landscape requires different retaining walls around the property, we can build steps into these to continue the pathway!

Will installing a walkway disrupt my current landscape?

No, most of the time a walkway will not disrupt your current landscape. Depending on what you'd like us to install, we will have to move some features like rock or plants to give us space for the pathway, but we will do our hardest to clean up and put everything as it was after we're finished.
